The Department of Children and Youth would like to thank all Richmond and North Richmond community members that applied to join the Richmond Fund for Children and Youth Oversight Board. City Council is currently in the process of reviewing applications and applicants will be notified in early November. The first Oversight Board meeting will take place in November or December 2019.
While the initial application period has closed, Richmond and North Richmond residents may still submit Oversight Board applications. Oversight Board applications will be reviewed by City Council on a rolling basis in the case of vacancies.
This 15-person Oversight Board will guide the development of a community needs assessment, a strategic investment plan, and the allocation of funds for chosen youth-serving organizations.
Oversight Board Application
Applicants must be 15 years of age or older, be able to attend at least 6 meetings per year, and commit to at least 50 hours of involvement.
By serving on this Board, individuals will help guide funding for youth-serving organizations, thus making a real difference in the lives of children, youth, and families in Richmond and North Richmond.
